Meet Ebou Jobe
Gambian Roots
Born and raised in The Gambia with first-hand experience of the challenges facing African farmers. Deep connection to the land and farming communities.
Mastercard Foundation Scholar
Selected for the prestigious Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, which supports academically talented yet economically disadvantaged students from Africa. Attended McGill University in Montreal, one of Canada's most prestigious institutions, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering.
Software Engineer
10+ years as a software engineer across Meta, Google, and currently Microsoft, building technology products used by millions. Brings that engineering rigor to JobeFarms — irrigation monitoring, satellite analytics, farmer communication tools, and field operations.
The Vision
Saw the gap between African agricultural potential and reality. Decided to combine tech expertise with agricultural knowledge. Founded Jobe Farms to modernize African farming and exports.
“I've seen how technology can transform industries. Africa's farms deserve the same tools and standards that farmers in developed countries take for granted. That's what we're building.”
— Ebou Jobe, Founder & CEO
